Brendan Fraser's Career Journey

Brendan Fraser's career journey began in the early 1990s when he landed his first film role in "Dogfight" (1991). He quickly went on to appear in a number of other films, including "Encino Man" (1992), "School Ties" (1992), "With Honors" (1994), and "Airheads" (1994).

However, it was Fraser's role in the 1997 action-adventure film "The Mummy" that made him a household name. He played the lead character, Rick O'Connell, and the film was a huge box office success, grossing over $400 million worldwide. Fraser went on to reprise the role in two sequels, "The Mummy Returns" (2001) and "The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor" (2008).

Throughout the late 1990s and 2000s, Fraser appeared in a variety of other successful films, including "George of the Jungle" (1997), "Gods and Monsters" (1998), "Dudley Do-Right" (1999), "Bedazzled" (2000), and "Journey to the Center of the Earth" (2008).

Fraser has also worked in television, with roles in shows such as "Scrubs" (2002-2009), "Texas Rising" (2015), and "Condor" (2018-2020). He has also done voice work for animated films, such as "The Nut Job" (2014) and "Escape from Planet Earth" (2013).

In addition to his acting work, Fraser has been involved in various charitable causes. He has worked with organizations that support children with developmental disabilities, and he has also been a board member for the environmental organization, The Nature Conservancy.

Despite his success, Fraser has also faced some challenges in his career. In a 2018 interview with GQ, he revealed that he had suffered a number of physical injuries over the years, including a ruptured disc, a broken arm, and a knee injury. He also revealed that he had been the victim of sexual harassment by a former president of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association, which he said had contributed to his withdrawal from the public eye in recent years.
